On April 3rd, Barack and Michelle Obama met with French President Nicolas Sarkozy and his wife Carla Bruni-Sarkozy in France as part of their European tour. As if they were about to enter a glamorous world leader show-down, the first ladies pulled out all the stops for the meeting.
Michelle wore a Thakoon three-quarter length black mantilla coat festooned with red poppies and tied at the neck. Bruni-Sarkozy, a former model for Chanel, donned a demure, bell-sleeved taupe suede coat with a large neck bow and a slim matching belt.
The couples greeted each other with kisses before President Obama greeted the cheering crowd with handshakes and hellos. Once inside the French Palace courtyard, the couples had guinea fowl stuffed with foie gras, coquilles Saint-Jacques and the green spring asparagus, a local delicacy, for lunch.
It‘s quite in here! Why not leave a response?
